How it Works
Online Cloud Backup with all its virtues has two significant challenges:
- Bandwidth between data source and storage cloud
- Cost of storing multiple backups to spinning or solid state disk
RackForce Cloud Backup overcomes these challenges with True Delta™ technology which takes advantage of advanced
data de-duplication to only backup data that is unique or that has actually changed - the delta. The quantity of a
typical company's data only changes by 0.1% to 0.5% per day. This makes the RackForce solution exceptionally efficient,
both in terms of data sent over the Internet and data that is stored saving you money and time.
And restoring only the delta greatly reduces the time to restore a large set of data. Though each backup is a delta backup,
the software intelligently combines the available delta changes during the restore, transparent to the user. RackForce Cloud
Backup restores databases to previous versions by combining the blocks entirely on the fly.
